Why should I upgrade my SF6000 receiver to have an SF3 license?
The foundation of John Deere’s precision farming solutions is the SF6000 receiver which uses a worldwide network of satellite stations to offer superb signal accuracy.
This receiver comes with a free SF1 signal which features +/- 15cm pass to pass accuracy – the precision (of error), between subsequent rows when the farmer is driving. Accuracy is critical for farmers to optimise the distribution of water, seeds, and other crop input.
You can choose to pay a small subscription fee to upgrade to the more advanced SF3 licence. This upgrade offers higher accuracy which is ideal for seeding and planting. In less than 30 minutes, the SF3 signal delivers +/- 3cm pass to pass accuracy. In addition, the SF3 licence offers 9 months of in-season repeatability – so you can use the same guidance lines for multiple passes throughout the growing season.
