Distributed throughout the UK for the last 35 years, Maschio Gaspardo is a global agricultural machinery brand, best known in the UK for power harrows, rotary cultivators, combination and precision drills, ploughs and more recently fertilizer spreaders. They started producing planting machines in 1834, with their first drill coming along much later in 1972.
From 8 factories, Maschio now produce over 120 types of farm machinery. Their goal is to manufacture agricultural machinery which provide “real help to farmers” and to achieve this they use innovative production methods. Their philosophy of “easy maintenance” is visible throughout their portfolio and means that set up modification can generally be carried out quickly and easily.
At Cornthwaite Group, we have worked with Maschio for over 10 years. During which time, we have sold a wide variety of machines to a variety of customers.
Power Harrows – Maschio have been producing power harrows for over 50 years and offer a comprehensive, reliable range suitable for both small and large scale farms. Their power harrows are easily compatible with Maschio seed drills to offer combination solutions.
Rotary Cultivators – The Maschio range offers cultivators suitable for almost all agricultural and horticultural settings and are suitable for use on tractors from 15 to 330hp. They are designed to be strong enough to withstand the rigorous job they do and the unsuspected obstacles they come into contact with under the surface of the soil.
Seed Drills - This range includes many models to suit most uses and feature gravity fed or pneumatic machines. Suffolk coulter and discs are both available.
Ploughs – As this is still one of the most practised cultivation methods across Europe, the plough is an essential piece of equipment. The Unico plough from Maschio is built for extra durability and versatility. We can offer Shear-bolt or Auto-Reset ploughs to suit all ground conditions and also fixed or slatted mouldboards.
Fertilizer Spreaders – Maschio offer a range of single and double disc, mechanical and electric centrifugal spreaders. The simplicity of construction, quality of materials and attention to detail make these machines extremely effective. These spreaders fully satisfy different needs, from small companies requiring simple machines to use and distribute products, to bigger companies requiring highly specialised equipment, precise and able to control large areas thanks to the Precision Farming functions.
